Another promotional animation for a company wanting to use a short video introduction to their website. Concentrating on a night club theme required the construction of an entire building interior and filling it with hundreds of dancing people. Resulting in one of the most challenging particle systems I have ever been involved with. |

The club interior was modeled using standard mesh construction, while all the people were created using particle systems, which replicate any given object any number of times based on a complex set of parameters. Configuration of these particle systems can be seen in the gallery below. |
The biggest challenge involved the number of dancers required to fill the dance floor, which was too many for the computer systems to manage all at one time. To overcome this problem each camera shot for the video had to be rendered multiple times (known as passes), with each "pass" rendering a different layer of dancers. When all passes had completed for each shot, the individual renders were layered together to form one composite camera shot containing all 800 dancers.
